Yadgir

Yadgir is the 30th district in the state and the most recently formed one. The region is lucrative for investments across sectors. The region’s top three cultivated crops include cereals, pulses and commercial crops. Jowar, paddy, red gram, sunflower, and groundnut are the major crops in these categories. Yadgir district is a developing industrial area rich in uranium resources. Availability of processed uranium which can be used for defence and power generation purposes is set to foster growth in the region. The district has about 1000 looms spread all over the region. Handlooms, as well as traditional crafts, are also potential sectors in the region.
