Karnataka Udyog Mitra, an initiative by the state, has been providing crucial directions and guidance for hundreds of investors over the last 15 years. It is a single point of contact for all investors who are looking at setting up large and mega scale industries in Karnataka. As the nodal agency, our role is to facilitate investments and execute initiatives to enable a smooth transition right from receiving an investment proposal to the eventual implementation of the project.

Large & Mega Scale Industries

  • As the investment promotion and facilitation agency of the State Government, KARNATAKA UDYOG MITRA is the Secretariat for grant of approvals and sanction of infrastructure facilities for approved projects.
  • Projects with investments between USD 2 million and USD 70 million (INR 15 to 500 crores) will be cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC), chaired by the Minister for Large and Medium Scale Industries, Government of Karnataka.
  • If the investment is above INR 500 crores, it will be cleared by the State High Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC), chaired by the Chief Minister, Government of Karnataka.
  • For projects related to IT/ITES/Startup /Animation/Gaming/Computer Graphics/Telecom/BPO/ KPO/Other knowledge-based Industries, please apply to Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka.
